Keep Kids Healthy Playgrounds Flyer

General information

greenfield-township-parkThe Township has received a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the replacement of the “old” playground at the Park. That playground is not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Other ADA improvements will be made for parking and access to other areas of the Park.

Reservation rates for the pavilions have been set at $ 125.00 for the large pavilion and $ 70.00 for the small pavilion. The pavilions have electrical service to keep food warm and charcoal grills for cookouts. Reservations can be made by calling the Municipal Office. The pavilions are not considered to be reserved until the fee is paid. Picnic tables should not be moved from one pavilion to another.

Because the park is a public facility, it is not available for Stag & Drags. Exclusive use of the park is not available. The park has a volleyball court, baseball field, playgrounds, a one-half mile walking/exercise/ADA trail, and restrooms.

In order to keep animals from getting used to coming to the park looking for food, we ask that you take all garbage with you when you leave. This is for the safety of everyone at the park, as bears have been sited in the neighborhood!

Pets are allowed at the Park, but must be on a leash and cleaned up after.

Park Rules and Information

Please take all garbage with you when you leave. This prevents wild animals getting used to coming to the park looking for food. Extra garbage bags are provided. Do not put hot charcoal into the garbage cans.

The park facility has a walking/ADA/exercise trail, volleyball court, baseball field and two playground areas. Users must provide their own equipment, such as volleyball, baseballs, bats, etc.

No motorized vehicles are allowed on the Walking/ADA/Exercise Trail.

The ballfield is used by the Wattsburg Area Little League T-ball teams in the spring and early summer.

All dogs must be on a leash. Pet owners are required to pick up and properly dispose of their pet’s waste.

If the pavilions are not reserved, they are available for use on a first come basis.

  • Reservations only on the weekends.
  • The restrooms are open daily.
  • The park closes at midnight.

Pavilion Information

Please take all garbage with you when you leave. This prevents wild animals getting used to coming to the park looking for food. Extra garbage bags will be provided for reservations.

Do not move picnic tables from one pavilion to the other as those tables are reserved for use in that pavilion.

The pavilions are not meant to provide indoor conditions. Do not use bolts to secure tarps in order to block the wind.

If you plan to have water balloons for your event, plan to fill the balloons at home. There are not faucets available to fill them outdoors. Filling them in the restrooms creates a dangerous situation from water being sprayed on the floors. It also makes a mess. For safety reasons, pick up the remains of the balloons and dispose of them, to prevent children from ingesting them.
Reservations of pavilions are made on a first call/first paid basis. Reservation entitles the use of the pavilion for the entire day. The pavilion is not considered reserved until the fee is paid. Reservation of a pavilion does not include exclusive use of the park.

The Greenfield Township Board of Supervisors has established fees for the reservation of the pavilions for 2024 as follows:

Large Pavilion $ 125.00
Small Pavilion $ 70.00

Reservations can be made by calling the Municipal Office at 725-9110. If calling outside of office hours, please leave a message.
